Technical Details

Bilstein Drag Pak dampers are completely rebuildable and able to be valved to your exact specifications.

The front dampers' most common modification is to remove the rebound limiter spring to allow additional damper extension during launch.  As delivered, the front dampers include a 3-inch rebound limiter to promote forward movement instead of high, wheels up launches.  This is advantageous for a well-prepared surface, but not always the best setup for marginal track conditions.  Removing this limiter and altering the valving for a faster extension can offer improved weight transfer.

Depending on how the chassis is set up, the rear dampers can benefit from additional compression travel by moving the lower attachment point down one hole. This will allow more weight transfer to the rear before impacting the jounce bumper and the car can be lowered more than as delivered.  A revalve of the rear shock is also encouraged if you require faster extension with a high anti-squat setup.
