Wesley Motorsports To Campaign 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody

Wesley Motorsports, along with Dodge, Bilstein, and Kumho Tire announces 2018 race season for all-new Dodge Challenger based on a production SRT Widebody

Wesley Motorsports is pleased to unveil its 2018 competition machine, a lightly modified Dodge Challenger Widebody with a Hellcat supercharged engine and handling upgrades inspired by the Dodge Viper ACR.

“The Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody is an amazing platform that handles unbelievably well,” says Wesley. “Throw in a massive amount of supercharged horsepower and it's a great recipe for Hill Climb and Time Attack competitions."

Starting with a production-spec Dodge Challenger widebody, Conrad Mohr of ACME Hi-Performance Laboratories in Statesville, North Carolina has upgraded the exterior, interior, and wheels and tires of the 2018 Challenger to be competitive in various roadcourse events while still legal for most production based classes. Suspension remains OEM with the exception of four-corner Bilstein MDS double adjustable dampers.

Kevin Wesley will pilot the new Challenger at events for 2018, with the season kicking off with #GRIDLIFE in Mid-Ohio in late April, and heading to the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in June. With 12.43 miles of twisting, climbing road, the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is one of the world’s most challenging racecourses. In 2016, Wesley Motorsports set a TA2 qualifying record and finished 2nd in class with Kevin Wesley behind the wheel of a 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. For 2018, Wesley returns to the mountain in TA1 with the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody, with help from Bilstein and Kumho Tire.
